The purpose of the book is to utilise the expertise of experts in various areas of veterinary knowledge in an English language book, for better dissemination of information. The book is intended to be practical and easy to read for field veterinarians, to contribute to a rapid diagnosis of the main diseases of sheep.
The book lays the foundations for the diagnosis of the multiple diseases that can affect sheep system by system, with a multitude of comparative and explanatory charts and tables and numerous images.
This book is an initiative of Hélder Quintas, in collaboration with the Ruminant Clinical Service of the University of Zaragoza. It has also been completed with the relationships and links established, especially through the European College of Small Ruminant Health Management (ECSRHM). This has resulted
in a book with the best specialists in the world. Professors from Brazil (Prof. Enrico Ortolani, Prof. Maria Claudia Sucupira both from USP, Prof. Huber Rizzo from UFPE, and Mario Balaro, veterinary technician from Universidade Federal Fluminense), as well as authors from several countries of the world, Canada,
Germany, etc., participate.
