Este manual pretende introducir al alumno en el ámbito de la acción protectora de la Seguridad Social, entendida como el conjunto de prestaciones que un sistema de Seguridad Social otorga a los colectivos como consecuencia de la existencia de unos riesgos o contingencias; siendo el objetivo fundamental de esta asignatura el estudio de cada una de las prestaciones que, en su modalidad contributiva (incapacidad temporal, maternidad, paternidad, riesgo durante el embarazo, riesgo durante la lactancia natural, incapacidad permanente, jubilación, prestaciones por muerte y supervivencia y prestaciones por desempleo) componen el contenido del Régimen General de la Seguridad Social.
Abstract
This manual aims to introduce the student to the ground of the protective action of Social Security as the set of benefits which a Social Security system provides to the different collectives as a consequence of the existence of possible risks and eventualities. The essential objective of this course is the study of each one of the benefits which, in their contribution regime (temporary disability, maternity, paternity, pregnancy risks, breastfeeding risks, permanent disability, retirement, death and survival benefits, and unemployment allowances), compose the General Social Security Plan.
